A new trailer has been released for the upcoming Shrek films, and the sequel has been confirmed as starring the same cast that starred in the original film.
The trailer for the second installment, Shrek Forever After, debuted at the Los Angeles International Film Festival.
The cast includes Bill Murray, Kristen Wiig, Donald Glover, and more, and includes several familiar faces.
In the trailer, Murray, who is best known for his roles as the titular Shrek in the animated films, is seen on the balcony watching a sunset as the crowd watches.
Murray said that he and co-star Bill Murray will appear in the second Shrek film.
“We’ll be there in the film,” Murray said in the video.
“And if you know the film you’ll be able to see Bill Murray and Donald Glover and Kristen Wiigs and others from that film.”
The new trailer also reveals that the sequel will be filmed in the UK, with an unspecified number of locations in the U.S. and Canada.
“This is the sequel to Shrek, and it’s going to be the biggest thing ever,” Murray told the crowd in the trailer.
“The film will be the first film ever to have all these characters together.
The movie will be a celebration of the Shrimps and the story of the world, and they will be playing their roles.”
Murray also announced that he will be returning as the character Taz, the first Shrek.
“Taz has come to this country and it was his birthday,” Murray explained in the new trailer.
Murray’s Shrek has been described as a “sporty, beautiful movie.”
The first Shrunkie was released in 1987.
The film starred Murray as the eponymous Shrek and featured the voices of Murray, Wiig and Glover.
Murray, Glover and Wiig also made appearances in the sequel.
The sequel was a commercial failure and was widely criticized for its over-the-top action sequences.
Shrek 2 is slated for a November 25, 2019 release.
