WATCH: Viva La Vida!: Coco’s Coco Is The Most Perfect Man Alive

Posted September 26, 2018 09:01:06 Coco has made history again with the premiere of Coco, a film that, according to director David O. Russell, was not just about Coco herself.

Russell explained that Coco’s title is a play on the title of the book that brought her into the public eye.

“I always think of it as a metaphor for the human experience, and the story is about a young girl who was born into slavery in Africa,” Russell said.

“When you read the book, you realize that her story is told through the lens of a slave owner.

So when you read it, you can see her story in a way that’s not necessarily the story that you see in the book.”

Coco is the first movie that has opened to a global audience since the acclaimed director David Lynch’s 1990s debut, Twin Peaks.

Russell said that the film, which premiered on August 29 in the U.K., was made with a “large budget” and was “an unprecedented effort.”

It also had a “big budget,” Russell added, and that “we had to make it as close to a production as we could.”

The movie will now air on HBO on September 21.

Russell was on hand for the premiere, and said that he had “some amazing guests” in attendance.

“We wanted to bring them in,” he said.

When asked if he felt the audience was a good audience, Russell responded, “Yes.”

“We did everything in our power to make sure the people we were talking to were there,” he added.

Russell also said that Coco was “the most perfect man alive” because she “felt like she could make anything she wanted, which is why she’s so beautiful.”

Russell said Coco “was the first time I could really get into the soul of this film.”

Coco, which opens September 21, will also feature the voices of James Franco, Scarlett Johansson, Jennifer Lawrence, Meryl Streep, and Tom Hanks.

Russell previously said that his goal with the film was “to create a story about how a young woman was born and raised in the American South and the hardships and opportunities that she was given.”

Russell, who grew up in the same neighborhood as Coco, said he knew of several women in the film that he wanted to include.

He also said the story was “very real” because he had lived through “one of the worst periods of slavery in the history of this country.”

“It’s a story of perseverance, resilience, and a kind of love of this community that has never been so alive,” Russell continued.

“There’s something about the fact that she’s a young African American woman who comes into this world with nothing and has to be taught everything she needs to know to become a successful businesswoman.”
