Why the British are so obsessed with action films

The English have a love of action movies, and many have embraced the genre with gusto, with The Lion King, The Expendables and Terminator 3 all earning huge box office hits.

The success of the English version of The Dark Knight Rises has also brought a wave of western films into cinemas across the UK.

The latest release from the world’s biggest film distributor, Paramount Pictures, is titled The Dark Tower.

It is based on Stephen King’s bestselling novel series and follows the world of Roland Deschain (Idris Elba), a man who is destined to kill Roland’s father, Roland (Samuel L Jackson).

The film is expected to break box office records in the US.

The Dark Gate film will be released in cinemas on March 17.

In the UK, the first British film to be released by the major studio in over a decade, The Purge, was also announced.

The film follows a group of former gang members who are locked away for the crimes of a “puppet master” (played by James Cromwell), who uses their powers to enact revenge.

In America, The Matrix is due to be the first American film to open in cinemases in 2019.

This is the first time that the first film from an independent distributor has opened in cinemaskets in the UK since the release of American Gods in 2013.
